You've got to show what you tell . . .

When organizations commit to and communicate their intention to effect systemic change, their members, especially those with marginalized identities, expect an impact that permanently changes their lived experiences for the best.

The VERIFIED Endorsement for Organizations

Many organizations express their commitment and advancement towards diversity, equity, and cultivating inclusive communities. And at the same time, within these same organizations, that is not the experience of people with marginalized identities. More often than not, this disconnection leaves segments of these communities doubtful that their organization’s change efforts are genuine—a sentiment that is detrimental to an organization's health and ultimately, it’s success.

Could this be the reality within your organization? Does your organization know if your DEAIB efforts are meeting the critical needs of people who experience marginalization? Does your organization think about and plan for a potential disconnection such as this one?

The DEIB Endorsement is designed to guide and authenticate an organization’s active progress towards diversity, equity, antiracism, integration, and belonging (DEAIB). This standards-based system of planning, accountability, and continuous improvement embeds practices that center trauma sensitivity, antiracism, anti-bias, and accessibility into every aspect of the system. It is structured to balance human needs and experiences and organizational goals, and eliminate any practice that harms employees, clients, and community members. These matters are integral to legitimately transforming and healing an organizational culture and climate. And, this process positions your organization to show what you tell.
